Lightdouse Sports Bar in Hatteras Island

First stopped in for a quick beer while waiting for our lodging check in time. Food looked and smelled great. Beer was cold! Went back after checking to lodging and they were only open for Staff for the rest of the weekend...?? Oh well, they did recommend Pop's and they did not disappoint!

Waiting an hour and 10 minutes for 2 burgers and wings in a practically empty bar (2 tables and 5 people at the bar) is unexceptionable!

We stopped by another day of slowwww day of fishing. As soon as we walked in, nice waitress came to us with a smile and served us promptly. Ordered 4 cheeseburgers and they were awesome. This was our second year in a row coming by to sip a few beers and eat some food. Let me tell you, food is always good and the servers are even better. Great service, great people and nice atmosphere. We will be stopping by every time we come down for sure. 5 solid stars!

Wow.... just bad, all around. Was there 6/23. To many negitive things to type out, would NOT recommend and will never be back. Side note 2 of 3 employees i could see were not wearing masks as required by phase 2 restrictions...

Pretty cool place. I like the atmosphere & the people seem really nice. Food was really really good. & from 3-5 they have half priced apps.

Casual dress. Went in my swim trunks, tank top and sandals. Had the cheese steak with French fries. Overpriced. Good atmosphere. Servers were friendly. They did say it gets busy around 9 or 10 pm. Was nice and laid back while we were there. Went in around 5. Plenty of tables still available. Looks like it could be rockin later but not our scene anymore. Could easily take the family here to eat. As long as you went earlier. 2 cheesesteak sandwiches with ff. No drinks. Almost $30. Wow. Price did not match internet menu pricing. Internet was one price. Price was more expensive in business.

Has a great atmosphere and a great selection of beers on tap and in bottles. Plenty of TV's to watch whatever games you want. The wings are absolutely awesome, especially the hot BBQ wings. They pack just enough heat and plenty of flavorStaff was friendly and made stopped by to check on us and make sure we were topped off on beer. Definitely will be back!

Great service. Melissa climbed on a table to get the last smaller sweatshirt down for me to purchase. It was hanging pretty high and we weren’t sure what size it would be, but after the lengths she went through retrieving it, my husband and I agreed we had to buy it. Fortunately, it was a perfect fit. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will return.

Pretty cool little bar. Food was alright. I had the wings and they were kind of dry, and didn’t have quite enough sauce. Still yummy. My boyfriend had the cheese steak, and it was super tasty! Our drinks were good. I had a Long Island type tea, boyfriend had a beer. Overall, not bad! I’d go there again, next time we’re in OBX!

We waited an hour. And the food was sitting on the cooler for 20 minutes before the waitress gave it to us. Not only was the service terrible the food was cold and burnt. Learn how to run a restaurant!

Awesome place to eat and enjoy sports. They have pool and darts. Great drinks too.

Had takeout yesterday - a Philly with onion petals for the hubby and wings for me. Both were great...so great that we went back today for dine in - the hubby had wings, and I had the Buxton burger and tater tots. For the wings, so far we have had the classic buffalo (delicious), sweet chili (good), and the Cajun dry rub (has some real heat but nice flavor). Will for sure be a place that we visit on future trips to Hatteras!

Great little sports bar with three pool tables! 75 cent games! Cheap local craft beers and affordable fun bar food. Onion petals were great. Would boop again.

This is my favorite local hangout. They have the best burgers on the island. And the bartenders make you feel right at home

Nice bar, good food, reasonable prices, classic Nintendo and super Nintendo for the kids, darts and pool. Following vacation, my seven year old said it was the best bar he has ever been too.

We went there on a weeknight and while it wasn’t the worst i’ve ever had it definitely was not the best. They only have local beer on tap which was disappointing. The rum and coke tasted nasty, like the soda was flat or diet. The bacon and cheddar fries were soggy and cold. The wings were decent but the Hot BBQ sauce was way too spicy and not as much BBQ. Service also was pretty bad, the waitress only came over maybe three times the entire hour we were there. I won’t comment on the wait time because they looked slammed with take out orders, not their fault. Gotta understand that as a customer. Won’t be going back. Place was really disappointing for how good it looked online.

No seating inside but you can get to go. It was too hot to sit outside whenever we went.

Service was slow on a not very busy night, our appetizer took 45 minutes and came out with the entrees. They were out of almost everything. It was difficult to eat the shrimp with plastic silverware. Staff needs to communicate better, we were often asked the same questions twice by two different servers. Food however was not bad, the shrimp was delicious and the tacos were good too.

Found my little "locals bar" when visiting our camper in Buxton. Close to our site and walking distance, which is nice if u want to over indulge in the adult beverages. Wings are good and other food I have tried all seems pretty good. Will definitely go back each time I visit our site .

The greatest little place in the middle of the Outer Banks in Buxton. Fell in love with this place and the folks are so knowledgeable. Young lady there has a husband who works with parks district at the Hatteras Lighthouse...tallest lighthouse in North America. This young lady is the best tourist guide on what to see! Oh and the food was very affordable and yummy..i had a great Caesar salad with shredded chicken!!

The wings were a little over cooked but the staff was very welcoming.

Super chill, laid back sports bar atmosphere. 4 TV's showing different games/shows, pool tables, darts, with seats at the bar and tall tables. Had GREAT mixed drinks, delicious food. We ordered a hot dog with french fries and a Buxton Burger with onion petals and a side of slaw - all super delicious. The wait staff was great even though it was moderately busy and food and drinks came out much faster than I expected! I'll definitely be going back for more.Note: if you have difficultly sitting at bar tables/on bar stools you may not want to come here unfortunately. It wasn't an issue for us (I personally love them because they make me feel tall) but they don't have any other seating besides some outdoor seats that are also tall :(

Get the Carribbean Fish Flat... Trust me, it's amazing!

Horrible food, horrible service... were out of half the menu and the food wasn’t even good.. my wings had to flavor or coating to them so dry

First, a disclaimer. My husband and I were driving the Outer Banks Scenic Byway, and our ferry from Ocracoke Island to Cedar Point was cancelled, causing us to have to high tail it back north to Hatteras Island before we were stuck (poor Ocracoke was still trying to recover from a devastating blow from Hurricane Dorian in 2019). This was the ONLY restaurant that we could find that was open. Our expectations were not high. Boy, were we surprised! The food was incredible; the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly; and the locals were lively, fun, and welcoming. I would definitely eat here again!

Food was great and so was the service. We were a little disappointed because my 21 year old daughter wanted to get a cocktail. She had a valid state id but since it wasn't a driver's license they wouldn't accept it. She's used it the night before while out with a friend but was denied here. Other than that it was a fun place to eat

Came as a group of 10 all family that has been in the same house for 2 days and was denied to be able to sit together. But a group of 4 was taking up a table of 10. Hostess and manager were rude to the max. Sadly they ran off a $400 easy tab for the night. Hopefully they learn how to treat customers.

Great casual dining with a terrific 'pub grub' menu. They have pool tables and eating at the bar. My favorite is eating outside. I am from north west Pennsylvania and we have great wings there but the Lighthouse wings aren't bad. The burgers are excellent too. Friendly service and reasonable prices. We had a big lunch for two for $25 (no alcohol). Highly recommended!

Came in right at closing. The hostess at the bar was very kind and willing to help me get some food since they were the closest to the lighthouse. My hamburger was excellent cooked just the way that I liked it. Was extremely juicy even though they were just about to close the man at the grill knows how to cook well, quickly!

Lighthouse is a staple for my family. The food is fantastic and priced right, especially when driving in after a day of beaching. Outdoor seating and nicely spaced indoor seating makes for a relaxing dining experience no matter where they put you. Absolutely a must when visiting the lower Outer Banks. We make sure to stop in and see the amazing owner Kat every time we're in town!

Just got in town. Not many places open. The food was great and service too. We will be back.

There were only 4 tables filled when we arrived. No one had their food. Server didn't tell us there would be an hr wait for our food. When we finally got our food an hr later...the food was terrible.

A lively and fun place! Pool tables, good beer selection, and bar food. And TapTV trivia!
